Seat everyone, then print where they sit

Paste your guest list, tap guests onto tables, and print an alphabetical find-your-seat board, table cards and place cards. No account, and your list stays in this browser.

1

Your guests

One guest per line. Add a comma and a group to keep people together, like Ana Ruiz, Bride’s college friends. You can paste straight from a spreadsheet. A sample list is filled in so you can try it.

2

Your tables

Rename any table by tapping its name below. Most venues seat 8 or 10 at a round table.

3

Seat them

Tap a guest, then tap a table. On a computer you can also drag. Auto-seat fills the open seats and keeps each group at one table where it can.

Print it

Each button opens your browser’s print window. Choose “Save as PDF” there to get a file for a print shop.

Find-your-seat board

Every guest A to Z with their table, for an easel at the door.

Table cards

One 5 × 7 card for each table with someone at it: a big number and who sits there.

Place cards

Fold-over tent cards with each name and table, 8 to a Letter page. Cut on the corner marks to 3.5 × 2.5 in and fold to 3.5 × 1.25 in.

Your list is kept in this browser.

A free wedding seating chart maker that prints

Most seating tools want an account before you can type a single name, and then charge to print. Seat Finder works the other way round: paste the list you already have, put people at tables, and print the find-your-seat board, table cards and place cards straight from your browser.

How do I make a seating chart for a wedding?

Start with your final guest list and how many tables the venue gives you (round tables usually seat 8 or 10). Seat the people who must sit together first, like the head table and close family, then fill the rest by group: college friends together, work friends together, kids near their parents. Check that no table is over its seat count, then print an alphabetical board so guests can find their name fast at the door.

Should the seating board go by last name or first name?

Alphabetical by last name is the most common, because guests scan for their family name. For a small or very casual party, first names work too. You can switch between both above, and the preview updates as you go.

Where does my guest list go?

Nowhere. The list is saved only in this browser on this device. To move it to another device or send it to your planner, use “Save a copy” and open that file on the other side.
